General / Off-Topic Bad lands movies

Apparently Boarderlands move is a bust according to reviewers. Video games are interactive experiences so not really geared up to making a movie.

"Borderlands" is a franchise known for its unique humor, stylized visuals, and player-driven storytelling, which might not resonate the same way in a movie format. This challenge has been a recurring theme with video game adaptations, where the essence of what makes the game special can be difficult to capture on film.

Critics often point out that movies based on games try to cram in too much lore or fan service such as Koe Wetzel merch design for entertainment, sometimes at the expense of storytelling and character development. Without the interactive element that engages players, these movies can feel flat or disjointed. The "Borderlands" movie seems to be facing similar criticisms, indicating that the transition from game to movie didn't quite hit the mark for fans and critics alike.

So any plans for a Elite Dangerous: The Movie?

Borderlands was watchable. No doubt a lot of the game's fans were up in arms though. It was a serviceable treasure hunt with fantastic elements, no worse than the worse Indy but definitely not better than the best.

I was going to see based on the trailer in IMAX at the local cinema just to see how bad it was. When is the Elite Dangerous movie coming soon

I have never played Borderlands, but I went to see this when it was released. It was 'okay', but very much felt like a ill conceived 'Guardians of the Galaxy you ordered from Wish'.
