So last night I decided to do some bounty hunting in Kremainn, so I swapped out my usual cargo scanner and hatch breaker for a k-scanner and a shield cell bank and head out to the RES. At first all is going good, got a decent npc spawn and I manage to gets about 200k worth of bounties in about half an hour, then I bit off more than I could chew. I scanned a python with a bounty of about 100k, he was in a wing but the status said '1/3' so I figured I'd take him out before his buddies showed up, I guess I was a little too slow, that was death #1. Cost me 380k for insurance claim and the loss of my bounties, plus now I'm even deeper in the hole from the purchase of the k-scanner and cell bank.
I head back out hoping to make my money back, and oh boy was I on the right track. It seemed that every wanted ship that was spawing in had bounties between 50k and all the way up to about 150k. Before I know it I've got about 800k worth of bounties saved up, that would ALMOST cover the cost of my previous death and uogrades. I thought to myself ' I should go turn these in before i die' but against my better judgement I scanned 1 more ship, jackpot a python with a huge bounty (can't remember the east number but it was upwards of 100k) but he's in the middle of a hairball of fed ships and a few other wings of wanted baddies. I'm doing well at first, my hull started the fight at 85% and by the time i have him down to 10% I've got full shields (cells are amazing) but then out of nowhere my ships panels go dark and I hear that dreaded 'EJECT, EJECT'. I have absolutely no idea what hit me but whatever it was it killed me at full shields with 80%+ hull in a single shot. Ugg... so now this is my first bankruptcy...
