Bad piloting dude!!

Over the last few days i've witnessed some stunning cases of bad piloting with regards to attempting to dock...Sidewinders crashing into the station and even explosions inside the station.

Makes me laugh every time...

I mean, i'm not perfect myself - sometimes i scrape the slot and careen off into the side of the station myself...Its hilarious lol

And then there was yesterday, I was coming into azeban city and getting close to the slot and this f-----ing big lakon emerges and squishes me...It made my ship spin round about 20 times before I regained control..and seconds later im heading for my designated pad and right out of nowhere this big ship (think it was a hauler) uses its verticle thrusters and pops meters in front of me! I was already moving and had to use my own thrusters to avoid collision...

Fun times :D

The derpy players make this game fun. I especially like distracting pilots by flying around them inside the station. :D

Ticking down towards B1 I'm sure there are other players who are like me just ing about. I've been blowing up in and around stations a fair bit recently :)

When I get to play in the mulitplayer beta I for one intend to put max power to engines (and the rest in systems), stick on the boost, and gun it at max speed through the docking port.

I never miss going through the docking port........until I thought I would do the above. I had over thrusted up off the landing pad, powered right up and hit boost. It was too late when I realised I was a smidge too high exiting the dock. After spinning around I don't know how many times, I quickly got out of there and went some where safe, like a high intensity battle zone.
I'm sure I heard the dock master chick laughing.

Kudos to the Sidewinder pilot last night that was leaving Chango just as my Annaconda was entering the slot. He decided that the best way to get me to move was fly straight at me with guns blazing (while he was still in the station).

The fireworks were pretty ;)

How much havoc could one theoretically cause by going on a rampage inside a space station? And for how long?

Or are you seeing somebody that is having problems with stations suddenly jumping or shuddering.

It has been reported quite a few times in the bug sub forum and I wonder how much is bad driving over buggy stations.

That totally wasn't fair! You had shields down already, and I blow up immediately? You could have at least told me my Cobra had "Pinto" painted on it.

From what I saw on the video, it seemed that you missed Jenner and hit control tower;)

As for bad flying, maybe it's lucky that there haven't been many people around to see my attempting to dock while sleeping antics. Attempting to fly while very tired is not advised.

I am going to publicly shame myself here....
That sidewinder avoiding the anaconda was me who smashed into the top of the station exit.

You know what they say, do not speed, do not drink drive, read the signs.. well i was doing these things.

Lesson learned, oh but it was fun.. :D

I've been scraping stations and docks pretty hard in the past couple of days, but it wasn't my fault. Honest guv!

First, I was absolutely perfectly lined up for entry, when suddenly the game "warped" me to a distance of few meters of the airlock - and heading straight for the station's outer wall. I managed to wrestle the ship through by trading only a small amount of paint. Then, when I was docking, the game did it again. One moment I'm making a perfect landing, the next my Sidey is a millisecond away from hitting the rotating gate bit at one end of the dock. I'm sure the banging and clanging that followed next had me turn beet red. Luckily I had transferred all power to shields after the first "warping" and escaped with only some embarrassment.

So yeah, not all pilot blunders are caused by bad piloting...

Dahan seems to be bad on occasion atm. At its worst, its almost like PB 1 with a jumping station, multiple timed out docking requests and juddering response when flying (although no pad re-assignment, mercifully). The other stations, however, all seem fine, all of the time. It seems odd that my experience of different stations should be so different.
