[Balancing] Limit Shield Boosters to max 4 per ship no matter the ship size.

As title says.

The never ending healthpool inflation due to defensive module stacking such as Shield Boosters, MRPs, HRPs, Shield Cells etc is a huge issue when it comes to making fights interesting.
Please consider making another balance pass to make combat more engaging and more interesting.
Fights that last hours due to abuse of Shield boosters, cells and healbeams tend to become very boring...
 
Would've been great when SBs were implemented. Especially as they even already were a balancing problem before engineers were introduced, although far from what they are now. Thanks to engineers the problem grew exponentially.

Unfortunately now, several years after SBs being implemented, this change might not be too well received any more. Especially as the only way to enforce it would be to have utilities "pop out" from ships in flight. Implementing such a hard limit after many years won't work.

I'd rather first of all have engineering blueprints tackled. Put diminishing returns on stacking SBs. Perhaps even also apply that on the base shield boost of them. Having all SBs might still result in "maximum shield", but if people notice that the last two of their SBs only increased their shield by 1 or 2 percent, they might consider if other utility slots, e.g. PDs, could actually be more useful.

Unlike a hard "now you can only have four, the rest pops out", diminishing returns would not force people to change, but rather give them good incentive to do so. They will still complain, but at least the technical issues would be avoided. :D
