What is Space Cash?
This is Space Cash:
Space Cash allows you to carry around your wealth in a physical, tangible form. It allows transfer of money from customer to vendor in a manner that, unlike Credits is totally discreet and immune to scrutiny as there is no audit trail created by the transaction. This system of payment was very popular for thousands of years among our Earthbound ancestors (but was merely referred to as cash) up until the 25th century when totally secure credit transfer protocols were finally perfected.
Space Cash is made up of a collection of tokens or notes with a denominated Credit value. These can be "cashed in" for their equivalent credit value (minus a handling fee).
Why do I need Space Cash?
Space Cash can be useful in many situations, be it traveling in backwater anarchy systems where the locals distrust the established institutions, when circumstances inevitably dictate you having to deal with less reputable individuals or organizations, if you need to finance a coup d'etat without drawing unnecessary attention to oneself or greasing the palms of system security if you have been caught out. Space Cash can be used to buy off bounty hunters or assassins. Space cash offers anonymity when making any kind of financial transactions for both parties. Space Cash can be stored in multiple secure locations for use at later date.
What are the risks in using Space Cash?
If you decide to use Space Cash be aware it may be impossible to prove ownership of it once it has left your possession either by carelessness or duress. Depending on how attached you are to your Space Cash violence may be necessary to retrieve it. However any quantities you discover either by salvage or "finding" are yours to keep until you can be convinced otherwise.
