Barnard's Loop has disappeared!

That familiar landmark has been helping me to orientate myself throughout my long journey to the Pleiades Nebula.

Now that I'm about 50LY from my destination however, the entire thing has vanished! :O

As you can see, the witch head nebula is still there. The Loop should be right beside it. It was visible one jump ago.

I'm currently in Pleiades Sector AL-O B6-1

I'm omw to Pleiades as well, heading to Barnard's next. I'm about 150LY from Pleiades, and Barnard's is still on my screen.

How did you select Witch Head to see its name on the HUD? I thought you can only select stars in your current system, and nearby systems within jump range.

You can target it in the galaxy map and see it on the skybox.

Fly safe!

Look in the galaxy map and left click a star (search if you know the name, or pan and scan otherwise) then click the select icon. I'm approaching the Pleiades from the other side, coming from the California nebula (well worth a visit). Have been before, but only explored a couple of the sisters, so plan on being a bit more thorough this time.

The Bleae Aewsy nebula disappeared for a short time while I was approaching it. It was only 'invisible' for about 100 ish light years though. Had me worried but it did reappear when I was close. Clipping bug of some sort I imagine.

I have had similar issues with 'roids in belts, depending on angle and distance they turned invisible and back again.
I remember a similar issue being addressed in one of the betas.

hehe, same happened to me just now. I turned to the witchead and i couldn't see barnard's loop behind.
I'm quite far though (around 1400 to 1500 ly), and i thought there might be a max distance the game displays nebulas... But this is apparently not the case, you seem pretty close.

did you ticket this ? It does not feel high priority, but... Barnard's loop... i feel (even more) lonely when i'm afar and i don't see it !

I wonder if the game has issues drawing one nebula over the top of another; when approaching the North America and Pelican nebulae one of them would disappear for light years, seemed to be dependant on the angle they were viewed from.

This is still the case for me, with barnard's loop (i am also in the pleiades sector, but it happened some time around the coalsack i think)

I saw it earlier today, and I'm about 5000 ly from sol, nearing statue of liberty. I couldn't see the others beside it though, so I guess it just renders one based on priority somehow.

Witch Head is actually a fair distance in front of Barnard's Loop - have you just gotten a bit closer so at that angle the Loop is slightly to one side...

It was there last night - I took this from M78 (Witch Head would be in the rear view mirror if a Cobra came with one...)
