Barnyard Animals No Donations

I have been playing Barnyard Animals, I made a new zoo for it, but guests are not donating to any of my donation bins. I have education everywhere, 3 animals and 3 educators. Ive played right in the past, I just have no donations coming in, so now Im -20k in the hole. Help? Who do I ask for help with this?

There is no way of emailing them and their ticketing system doesnt work!! I NEED MAJOR HELP!

Hmm, sometimes quitting and restarting the game can fix things like this. If it persists it might be a bug that they will release a patch for. I'd suggest trying the restarting thing and if that doesn't work, play with them in sandbox to see them all, but don't try to open a Franchise zoo with them until there's been an update. Or, mitigate the lost income with lots of exhibits - they bring in tonnes of money to new Franchise parks :)

If you only have barnyard animals in your zoo, it's possible that guests are not interested in donating for these animals if the barnyard animals have a lower popularity factor. As a temporary test, try temporarily placing a popular animal like a tiger or elephant, just to test if the donation system is actually working properly. I think that the Zoopedia gives rankings for popularity.

I don't actually have the Barnyard Animal pack yet, but I'm pretty sure that the animals' lower guest popularity may be your issue with the lack of donations. You may also try placing lots of scenery and maybe special effects like water or mist. Guests like a pretty zoo, and maybe that will encourage them to donate.

You can also look up the appeal in my data sheet linked below in my signature - it also ranks animals based on the cost of feeding them to their appeal, so you can see which are most effective for starting up a new Franchise :)

I can't take a Look at my Farm currently, but I know that the Animals outside of the Pack get Donations.
You could try to do it like I did with my Farm and add more exotic Lifestock too (Ostrich, Red Kangaroo, Bactrian Camel, Dromedary....) and/or a Butterfly Garden

Having had Alpaca, Goats & Chickens in my new petting zoo I can confirm that something very strange is happening with the donations, despite the animal encounter being obscenely busy at all times. I checked after a full year of the two animal encounters running and I had had £3,800 donated to the chickens and just £80 donated to the goats, despite them being in the same habitat! I also only had £20 donated to the Alpacas in their habitat!

I could confirm this as well.

I just got around completing my European Fallow Deer walkthrough enclosure, and none of the donation boxes inside or outside the enclosure has gotten any donations, despite also including education points within the enclosure. I left the game at that state as it was a tad frustrating not seeing any profits from investing in the new enclosure, so I will see if it resolves itself when I load the save game.

My donation bins have been working fine.
They are older zoos though, so if these are new zoos maybe its a bug that kicks in on new zoos.
I do have some of the barn yard animals in a couple of them so will check those ones out and see if they get any donations.

Okay my Tamworth Pig in my rebuilt T-Z zoo has got donations fine. The zoo was a rebuild when the last T-Z went crazy in the red after trying to expand the zoo. Looking at my last save for the old zoo - 1st May - it was the day after the patch. The first save for the new zoo was on the same day.

My Sussex Chickens in my S zoo aren't receiving donations. I even placed some inside the habitat in case that helped. But no joy. This zoo hasn't needed to be rebuilt so is the same zoo I completed ( all animals at the time ) back in December 2023.

So ...
It appears, old zoos have a problem. new zoos don't. At least through my tests so far. Those are the only barnyard animals I have placed so far.

Then again .. just placed a set of Alpaca's in my A zoo. This is another one I had finished ( at the time ) adding animals in - in December last year. It did take a while, so maybe the chickens will pick up after a few more play sessions. The Tamworth Pigs were active a while after placing them so they've had time to build up enough interest for some to put in a dontain.
