Baron/Summerland/Clipper

Alright... what gives. Summerland is a gated system until you reach the rank of Baron. I achieved this yesterday, purchased a Clipper (which is fantastic), and headed off for Summerland.

According to lore Summerland is home to the largest private military contractor in the galaxy. So what’s so special in Summerland I began to wonder. Could there be a massive base? Awesome shipyard? Some badass modules for a good price?

Nope. Just another system.

Fdev... come on. Hand craft at least one special thing for each permitted system...

Sadly with some members, that special thing wouldn't be worth the trouble for the unlock ;P

Totally worth it! The generation ships were cool imo. It’s a nice little touch. So hand crafting a special thingy for permitted systems would be really interesting.

Re Summerland, yeah it's slightly dull that it's a system almost like any other.

Indeed, Achenar is another useless capital system with pretty much no reason to ever visit! I went there expecting top-notch infrastructure and powerful Empire factions. Hmmm

On the Fed side you gain the privilege of visiting the Candy Cavern orbiting Colon after you attain the rank of Post Commander. A little extra for grinding your way to a Corvette.

Thanks! The Clipper is awesome. It bridges the gap to my next goal, the FDL. Very quick. I wasn’t expecting that.
