Barrier can't be lowered after filling it with Water

I've started to design the Entrance Area of my new Breeding Center for Orangutans and decided to build Concrete Ponds on both Sides of the Entrance. I was able to fill one with Water and lower the Barrier to 1m (I hope they'll work on fixing it that the Barrier currently needs to be higher to be able to fill it with Water) but I can't lower the Barrier of the Pond on the other Side after I've filled it with Water. Does anyone know what could be the Reason and how I can solve it?

I've wondered this myself, as sometimes I'm able to change it and sometimes not. I assumed there might be another water escape point, but couldn't find it anywhere.

I wonder if changing the barrier settings around "flat top, editable bottom", "Always same height above terrain", etc. might change when we're able to do this and when not? (since there might need to be a certain amount below ground to be able to lower it?). But haven't tested it myself, and am looking for ideas as well....

Water shouldn't be able to escape anywhere because it's a very simple Design. It's just a small Square shaped Area

I think I do already have this activated while building Barriers but I'll check again later. I hope I won't need to rebuild it because I fear it might not work because there's a Path next to it. I'll let you know if I find a Solution

Not sure if there's a solution for your case. Paths and water don't get along really well so maybe it's the path that is causing the problem.

I'm pretty sure I've filled and lowered the other one also after building the Path. I think I've also already tested if it works after removing the Path and it didn't help
