Barrier decay & maintenance

First off, I understand a enclosure barrier is only as strong as it's weakest part so a barrier comprised of brick and glass has 2 durability. However even if you set maintenance visits at it's most frequent setting (every 3 months), it is still not frequent enough so the player is bombarded with annoying messages to fix the barrier.

Can you please look into fixing this issue.

This is the source of the issue they are not doing what they are set to there is no path issues that i can see.

Ok thanks that is the horrible UI striking again, It is not normal drop down function to have to scroll up, defaults should be higher up the list.

However look at the time since last visit. I have 8 habitiats in 2 workzones 1 with 3 habs with 2 mechanics assigned to that group the other group has 3 mechs. Something is not right with this.

Updated one of the enclosures and let it run the issue is still there.

Hmmm, that's odd.
How far away are the staff rooms? Perhaps it's too far away and when they get tired it takes them a lot of time to get there, take a rest and then get back to work? Have you trained your mechanics? Better trained staff are much more efficient.

Are all your mechanics doing research? It looks like that will take priority and they won't leave the workshop unless you manually call them to a habitat.

Here’s what I just posted in reply to a similar issue:

I set my maintenance schedules to every three months, make sure that all facilities and gates are as close to a staff center as possible and train employees that are overworked. One mechanic per habitat plus any nearby facilities. No problems at all with maintenance, once in a blue moon a notification of a failing generator, and staff happiness of 100% in a zoo with over 250 habitat animals.

Maybe you have too few mechanics for their work loads, too long ways to the staff rooms, maybe too small staff rooms?
