I have laid out a boat ride route. What I want to do is have the boat ride go between two different habitats. The problem I'm having is how to I keep the animals from one habitat swimming between the two.

Na, I figured something out, it's not perfect but it works. I took the water out and removed the section of track were I needed to put in a divider. I used the "Airlock" gate for the jeep ride and put it at the point I wanted to stop the animals going through. It attacked to the "Null" barrier, laid new track were I removed it (under the gate), refilled it and Bobs you uncle. Looks nice just wish it would open and close instead of going through the gate.... Something I think the developers should look into?
