Sorry if this has been asked previously, I haven't found any answers on it so far.

The Bartenders in Odyssey - are they analogous with the Black Market Contact in BGS terms?
If so, is it known how interacting with them is weighted compared to the BM Contact?

I don't believe so. They trade EDO foot materials with humans. Also, nothing that happens on an FC impacts the BGS AFAIK.

Bartenders exist outside FC. But otherwise I'd agree that they don't have any impact (unless anyone knows better). Would be a hell of a test to try and run.

I remember selling a bunch of Oddysey materials in a backwater system (in the vain hope that the huge amount of items with no apparent purpose could actually be useful) and saw no change at all in influence. Can't say exactly what the items were but there was a bit of everything, just to try and get any visible change that would suggest a follow-up test was worthwhile.

I also don't think selling to bartenders does anything for your trade rank since the items you can sell are not inventoried, but storage items (you don't need a cargo rack). I'd consider them like the material traders in that regard, basically invisible in the BGS with magical put and take merch.
