Base assault turrets re-spawning?

Hi,
About half a year ago I did my one and only base assault after some "Tip off"-Mission. (scanning a ++ Base). Now with the high demand on scans I thought I have to try that again.
Found some youtube videos, of people blowing everything up with dumpfires, so I've put 4 dumpfires in the grade 1+2 Slots of an Anaconda and gave it a try in some ++ base in an anarchy system. Didn't work as expected and as it looked in the videos.

1. The 4xdumpfires did actually a worse job on the defense turrets then my own laser turrets + gimballed multicanon. They seemed to work nice killing several skimmers at once, though.

2. Everything keeps re-spawning. killed the turrets in the dozens, but they just keep coming back. Destroyed everything that looked like a power generator, but still turrets over turrets shooting at my SRV. Managed to scan the data points, but was constantly under fire.

Is that supposed to be like that, was it always like that? Don't even want to think trying a +++ base.

If anybody has some advice, I'd be gratefull.

Yes. everything "heals" after a while. It's dumb. I don't do base assaults. You can scan DP's without assaulting the base depending on security level (flashing red posts=no go).
 
I kinda gave up banging on about how silly it is that it all comes back online after 5 mins. Glad some one else thinks its a bit off too.

Same as the air defence is never ending and there is no gap in coverage no matter how fast you kill.. it often gets worse and worse. AND the ships can target and deatroy you from miles away no problem in your srv.

I mean if they have to reset cant it be an hour? So its not so magical healing like. And so onve you have shot all the turrets and generators you can plunder the base in peace.

The turrets reactivate even on small mining operation POIs. Not at all the place where the respawning mechanic was meant to have an effect.

IMHO, they should do more script work in base assaults, like having ships jump in after a while instead of reactivating the turrets or a bunker opening to deploy more skimmers, or a T-9 coming in to hot drop a goliath or two. Ships appearing in scanner range would give you a warning and a chance to evaluate the response coming. Turrets coming back to live just feels so primitive from a game design perspective.
