What's a good weapon loadout for planetary bases? All I can find is pre 2.1 advice on this. Found one post 2.1 that says dumbfires and a cannon for the point defense at the base but no other posts.

You just need a weapon that you can fire without target lock.
As for which one, well, pick one you're most comfortable with. Dumbfires seem to be the most effective one, though, but I've seen people bombarding bases with mines. :D
