base data scans no longer give 3x drop?

Someone on the Steam forums brought up the other day they were only getting a single mat per drop at Davs Hope and I thought "meh.... I guess I can understand that".

Last night I went out to do a round of base scans for data mats and noticed the same thing EVERYWHERE. Is this intentional???

Is it intentional that the grind was increased for no other reason than to hide the fact that there is no content other than the grind?

Yes.

I mean..... I guess that makes sense now that we have an order of magnitude more mats to collect....

thats ok - I'll just go run some skimmer missions for mat rewards.

Last 3 DWE's I got was 3x... maybe it's a SRV thing? I'll do some testing later.

I think its Base data beacons only. everything else gives 3x that Ive tried.

I get normal x3 of everything I find in USS. Data or mats.

That's weird, then, yes. I never really paid attention to that, but it should be the same everywhere.

Thanks for posting this! My next needed items are data from data points. Now I'll stick to satellites and not hit settlements on planets.

Satellites give level 1 and 2 mats mostly, bases give 3, 4 and 5. Feel free to update me if you find that not to be the case, but it was in 2.4

I don't think that's the issue. I don't think they are dropping 3x the mats in question. Might want to check your totals after every scan to confirm.
