General / Off-Topic Basics of setting up a Discord server?

While I wait for a patch to hopefully fix my controls locking up, I would like to get started on a Discord server for my trading ship academy idea.

I've not made a Discord server before, so I was hoping someone might know where I can go for tips & tricks?

The main thing that really flummoxes me is finding the invite link.

Where can I find it? I use the Windows 10 desktop app.
