Yeah like I said in the Giant Weapons thread, I'm not crazy about them. I don't like how they animate when firing...
I agree on the beam, but I like the huge multi-cannon

Same could be said about Paintjobs? You barely actually see them. It just don't make sense to me. Lasers don't have recoil so they don't need recoil dampeners or whatever that animation is supposed to be...
Saw it, just felt like voicing my opinion here.
I imagine it is rather a flushing of coolant out of the weapon and drawing fresh coolant in. Probably more elegant ways to facilitate that mechanic, but rule of cool, you know.
At least it lets me have something other than believing there is a kinetic recoil from firing a laser, lol.
