Bass Shaker/Transducer + Music

Not sure but splitting via software may be the only solution for you if you want to prevent music from going to your bass shaker. Is it connected via center/bass plug? The other solution could be to use a physical split on a headset and plug a music player to only that. I use a subpac and adjusted the cutout frequencies to my liking, however I am not bothered by having music on the shaker too.

I use the free software VoiceMeeter Banana to split the audio signal and send it to both the soundcard and the HMD headphones, which are connected by USB (Rift).

You can then use the VoiceMeeter equalizer on the soundcard output to cut off the upper frequencies, which results in full audio for the USB headphones and only the deep frequencies going to the transducers. If you cut everything above 80 hz and boost the decibels of the remaining frequencies, the transducers will only react to the rumbles and such things, delivering a decent immersive experience, while you have full audio on your headphones.

The downside is, that you have to fire up VoiceMeeter every time you play.

If you want to give it a try, you can download it here: https://www.vb-audio.com

Yes you need VoiceMeeter Banana, and worth also getting the couple of the Virtual cables by donating a tenner or fiver or more if you fel that this program helps you out.

I set this exact scenario up this morning. I use the Rift mic, and headset, and have Spotify/Dezzer/Any music source on one virtual cable, Game sounds inc Voice Vasco on the other Virt cable. That way i can control these to individual volume levels at the flick of a slider. They can of course both you the same output and you just control the music volume via windows or the app volume setting, but using the VM Banana is so much easier. You can add net touches to each Chanel as well.

I am no audiophile geek and learnt from watching YT Vids. just search on the tube for setting up VM Banana, and there are loads, most are really good and very easy to follow. None of these channels interfere with my Buttkicker Gamer which is on a separate input and works brilliantly.

Why? Bass shaker and music = amazing.

I love listening to music using my transducers, but honestly, when playing a game, i like to have the effects being up front, not the music.
With everything running through a transducer, it is just unnecessary overflow of incoming sensory data.
For me that overflow feels not right. I want the ship vibrations and the sensory advantage i can get out of that, not just a massage.
