Up until now, I have never fired upon a Thargoid. I have followed the entire narrative and got involved in most parts of it, mainly as an observer. If I have been hyperdicted between star systems or hunted in supercruise, I have always fled out of not wanting to attack something that we have put human reasoning upon. I've been mainly involved in powerplay, exploring, and other such activities since launch.
However, this is now different. Sol has forever been my home system. No matter how far I travel into the vast expanse, no matter how extensive the period of time that passes between visits, Sol is home.
Sol is more than just another star system.More than just Federation territory. More than somewhere to live. It is the place where we took our first steps out into the vast unknown of ancient light. Where we learnt through many mistakes and sacrifices. It is an integral part of our story as a people. This has become personal.
I shall now be purchasing and outfitting a krait for AX capabilities for the first time and joining the defence of our homeworld. I urge any and all commanders to do the same. The Royal Navy Space Corps once pledged ourselves to an old and far-reaching dynasty of Monarchs. But now we pledge ourselves to humanity. We shall stand unmoving against the incoming tide. Shoulder to shoulder with fellow kin. Make the space between us all mass. Make it tissue. Make it Earth!
