Roller Coasters Bay Area Blast Coaster Showcase!

Hey everyone, I know it's been an extremely long time since I posted any video featuring cinematic/pov shots of my rides, but since I'm taking a break from Bay Area Blast, I thought you might enjoy watching the 3 roller coasters I built for the park. This time they're not rendered at 60fps, but instead 30fps+RSMB (motion blur). I'm testing out that combination to see if creates an overall better cinematic experience than simply 60fps videos. Let me know what you think, whether I should stick with 60fps, use 30fps+RSMB, or switch it up once in a while.

Once I'm able to use my i7 6700K, I'll try to render them in 60fps+RSMB ;).

Nice work, and nice use of terrain and trees.

Honestly I don't think most people notice the difference between 30fps and 60fps, especially in Youtube videos, despite all the emphasis on FPS in the PC gaming community. This video has a nice cinematic quality to it, and the content is always more important than the quality as long as the quality is good to begin with.

Cheers

Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed the video. Also thank you for your input on the video quality, those kind of insights help me make decisions for my later content. I would have to agree with you, on games like Planet Coaster especially, I don't think a majority of the community really cares/notices a video quality "improvement" just from being in 60fps. As you mentioned, the content is more important since it's the core of the video to begin with.

Nice coasters!

In my personal opinion, I don't see a reason to record a video in 60fps. Playing a game yer sure you want as many frames as you can get, but everything you watch is usually recorded at 30fps anyway so I don't think people will really notice too much when they are just watching a YouTube video.
In short, the larger file size probably isn't worth it and 60fps videos on YouTube will probably limit some of your audience that struggle to render those videos, like me, but that's just my opinion.
