Hi all,
So I have wanted to make Bay windows for a few of my buildings that I have created, so I decided to undertake the task of creating said window. Boy did I regret it afterwards.
Due to the amount of time I had already invested in trying to create it, I was determined to complete it.
Knowing me and my luck there is likely a much easier way to create these windows.
I managed to create the windows using two buildings, mainly because I used 45 degrees instead of 30 degrees.
Below is a couple of screen shots of the windows in various stages, I was also able to design it so you are able to stack them or place them side by side and create a huge tower or an entire wall of windows...
Apart from using the walls as a base, I used "Window Rectangle Black", "Render Window Tiny" and "Roof Molding Stone Flat".
Ignore the crappy building, I was just testing the windows out, I will share a completed building with bay windows when I get around to completing a different building
I am hoping that there are plans to allow the walls to be rotated within the same building (or have angled walls) and the ability to "unlock" the walls, wall extras and roofs off the grid that is created when the first item is placed to reduce the need of creating 20 buildings to make one prop.
As I end up dieing a little when I want to move a building.
For me what would be ideal is having a "parent building" with "child buildings" attached to it.
I.E.
"Parent Building"
--------- Child building 1
--------- Child building 2
--------- Child building 3
etc,etc...
Which would make rotating/moving a build so much easier, and likely help with blueprints people might want to share with others.
Cheers
