Elite / Frontier BBC Mission 1

I thought I'd start playing BBC Elite again from scratch, while waiting for Dangerous.

I got as far as the first mission, but as it said I needed a military laser and I didn't have the cash, I didn't bother to write down the planet name. I just remember it's somewhere near the middle of the galaxy, possibly a little left/up.

Now I have one, I thought I'd continue playing. Is the planet random (and so I'm stuffed), or is it a fixed planet?

You need to go to Reesdice.

It is in the middle (slightly up) in Galaxy 1.
