I support player trading in myriad ways in elite, but I would never support the sale of pre-engineered modules, because that would be progression breaking. I have a valid canonical excuse too... Our modules are rented to us on a permanent loan basis with a full value deposit, and we are obliged to return them to the PF whether modified or not, upon not needing them further. This is the only explanation for the fact that they do not suffer wear and tear and are always worth exactly what you paid for them. You simply get your deposit back.
Time to buy another Anaconda
I just cleaned out around 30 engineered modules from my storage the other night.
I haven't used any of them. If they were good enough to use, they'd be on a ship.

store them on a cheap ship!
All there is to it, I've got a bunch of cheap storage ships and a storage Anaconda based it Diaguandri. Solves the current storage limits.

I sold all of my gimballed weps to make some room...except one, the lightweight mc for my explorer DBX.
Using other ships is a pain - which is why storage was so widely welcomed in the first place! It's just disingenuous to suggest this is now the panacea to the problem.
Scenario to fit ship stored module:
Store current ship A - oh which ship has that module again? (assuming the correct ship is located at the current station) - Nope, not this one..or that one...ah there it is, on ship D! Select ship D...outfitting - store said module...arghhh bollox...no room at the inn - okay, pick module from storage to swap (remember new module stored on ship D) - okay done...now choose original ship A again! - & finally, fit module! What an efficient process inc watching the animations each time [blah]
...but it's all sorted now - & relax!...Arghhh! Power limit exceeded!
