I know. So bad. I keep on saying that I need to learn how to do the mapping. Apparently, it's fairly easy to do, technically, but very tedious in practically. It's a hit and miss with the Saver.
I've downloaded some fifty songs and I think I've kept about ten. The rest was unplayable. Which sucks because I like those songs "IRL" and would have loved to play them if they were mapped properly. Well, now they're gone, anyway.![]()
I like the new songs a lot, and the interface is better. Also I've finally tried the update and the new songs. I like them. I also like the added sorting if the old, new and the extras. Saves some scrolling.
Now, I think I have to start to consider another computer though... because I bought a webcam to do some recording, just for fun. And that was a journey for sure. First, get the camera, works on the computer (skype, etc). Download the software MixCast, which has a free license. It was an hour or two to figure out how to configure because the on-screen instructions were run-on sentences like "while grabbing the squeezer triggers center the hole in the circle inside..." whatever. Looked for instructions. First one was old version and wrong. Second one finally explained that you put the controller up to the camera, center it to the camera. Ah, now I get it. Could've said that... And perhaps a little "First we need to know where the camera is, so to do that we need you to hold the controller up to the camera -this way- and click the squeezer buttons." Would've been so much easier to understand. But then the program continued, had to squeeze while holding the hold center to the x-es too. Which one? Green first or red? Which controller? Which way should I hold it? Oh, shooooooooot! Now the whole camera view is upside down!!! How do I fix it? No reset... AAAAAaaargh!!! Anyway, got it working eventually. Then... looks like Beat Saber isn't compatible with MixCast. Sigh. So scrap MixCast. All that work and struggle and can't use it.
After a bit more research, I found out that LIV is the software to use. Then went ahead and installed it. Free license, cool. Config... crash! Oh, bummer, I now learned that LIV only works on Nvidia, and this computer is an AMD setup. Nooooooooooooo!!!
I crawled up in the corner in a child pose and started crying.
