Here are a few simple steps to becoming the greatest hero of the federation.
Step 1: Buy a sidewinder.
Step 2: Kit it out to the max with cargo racks.
Step 3: Fill it to the brim with explosives.
Step 4: Fly to a high intensity combat zone, and wait for an interdictor to spawn.
Step 5: Kamikaze into it and blow it to smithereens.
Step 6: Respawn and await your instance promotion to commander.
P.S. Don't actually try this, it doesn't work, I know from personal experience
