might metal-alloy be on this list if the planet has it??

That wouldn't be on the materials list for a planet, no. I presume you mean meta-alloys rather than metal-alloys? If so, you'll want to head to Darnielle's Progress in Maia, or go explore Thargoid Barnacles. See this for more details.

The system map only reports elements that make up the planet, as Meta-Alloy is not a single element it won't be listed there.
