I'm fairly aware of Beethoven's works.
And Bachs, and Wagner's, and...

This rendition by Mr. Tiso is played with so much added sadness, that, thought indeed the original is unbeaten, this is a darned great version.
I've heard many, online, the radio, TV, live, but NONE was this magnificent.

I respect you for being a purist, but if you take a step back, and listen to this in all objectivity, you cannot say this is grand...
But again, all respect to you.

Personally, my Favvy from Mr. Beethoven, is the 7nd, 2nd movement.
It has power beyond power.
Especially, if one considers the time it was written/played.
Just... bombastic.
