beggining to wonder if AD's AI has an attitude.

If I dock my Type 6 at an outpost, I usually fly in close and then allow the AD to make the final approach to speed it up a bit because the AD flys so damned slow to get to the station from a distance.

What I have noticed is, if I allow the AD to fly in from a distance, it puts me down nice and gentle. If I only allow it to make the final approach from 100 metres or so, I get put down pretty hard. It's as if the AD is protesting like a kid slamming a door when they don't get their own way

I could swear a lot of the AI's attempt suicide runs while dog-fighting as well. I like to imagine Mr. Worf behind the helm 'PREPARE for ramming speed!'

Verticle thrusters have saved my life nearly as many times as shields.
