Beginner systems for PVP

Apart from Eravate what beginner systems are there?
The reason I ask is that I am thinking of doing some PVP bounty hunting when I grind up enough Credits for a FDL or FAS.
Or is this not a good idea?

PVP bounty hunting is a total waste of time.

You will very rarely kill anyone before they high wake to safety ( working as intended zzz ) .
The pay outs are ridiculously low compared to the risk you will be taking.
If you are new to PVP, you will get kitten stomped

If you want to PVP, build up a huge stash of funds with PVE res grinding/robigo exploiting.
Join a group when you no longer have a fear of your ships rebuy and hope that the group takes you to adventure.

Eravate is the main area (including systems like Kremainn, Yakabugai, Chamunda etc..) but you could also try systems in the vicinity of Aulin/Eranin/i Bootis, as I think that may have also been used as a starter area since Horizons launched.

Other than that, try Power HQ systems like Cubeo - be warned though the skill level rises a bit in these systems.

It's probably best to avoid Community-Goal systems, as they will be full of high-level players.

Is Cubeo the troll system?

This is actually really good advice :) We get new PVPers to fly around in a silent DBS for a while and join in our operations, it's a great ship with only a 10th of the rebuy of an FDL. Move on to an FDL once you're a bit more confident and decide that you need the extra damage an FDL can do. PVP 101 is all about not dying so that's the first skill to master.E

EDIT: I've sent you a PM about bounty hunting in Eravate.

Madge isn't right very often..but In this case he is!
.
Also don't worry about getting the apex predators in the game..the Vulture, DBS, Viper Mk3 & Courier are great PvP ships with low rebuy,
.
For PvP I've had my best emergent fights 1v1 & v wings, at the LTT 15574 HazRes's. There's usually a few players here at most times.
.
..here's what I do - just mind my own business farming bounties until someone steals a kill. If they are low ranked, I leave it but if Master or above, I'll fire one shot at them..they will turn to face you..I then fly towards them hoping they fire on me , if not I will fire another few rounds on my pass, enough to let them know I'm not too pleased, but not enough to do any damage to their shields!
If they still don't fire back on my next turn & pass I take the shields down a couple of rings..usually by this time the fight is well under way, but if they don't shoot back I leave them alone & get on with my NPC farming..this at least stops them stealing bounties again..usually! :D

PVP bounty hunting is literally not a thing :D I suppose you can find people with some bounties, but 99 times out of 100 they will just run away if oveprowered by the opponent. Especially in starter systems people who do 'PVP' just want to slaughter helpless noobs, not looking for fair combat with experienced pilots. And second thing - barely anybody has any big bounties on their heads, especially if you can just pop in a sidey and wipe all of them.

The crime punishment revamp in 1.3 killed PvP bounty hunting. Some players saw that coming but FD did not listen / care.

At 5k per murder, most players carry low bounties. once in a while you may eventually get to take down one guy with 90k on his head...which should cover your repair bill...
If you use a Kill Warrant Scanner, you may get more bounty claims, but traveling to distant systems to cash them in is a pain in the rear.

Before 1.3, you could meet some players with a bounty above 1 million...

I... I actually agree with everything you said. This is a strange day indeed.

Probably best joining a player group for PvP to be honest. Some organise competitions etc where you can arrange with each other to have a "fair fight" or a "less than fair fight".

In starter systems you'll probably come across a ton of new players with 400 credit bounties and then a few players in Corvettes, FDL's and stuff like that. In other systems you may have some luck but in general as above it's difficult to find people with bounties in small ships since space is well, gosh darn huge :D
