I just wonder why Elite has very small Amount of it (thats my Feeling).Im a very visual Guy and always love good looking Spots, like a Haz Res (for BountyHunt) with a Star near by.
It's a case of "Science trumping Fun". Because while it might be Fun to have spectacular scenery, Science says that putting a giant space station in orbit around a ringed planet, in any plane other than the same plane as the ring, is a really bad idea, because it's asking for that station to be sandblasted/pummelled with high-relative-velocity ring particles twice every orbit. Keeping it in the same plane as the ring avoids most of the potential problems with stray ring debris.
That being said, FD have a long track record in making Beginner Space "more interesting" than usual. In the precursor FE2 game, the standard starter location was in Ross 154, a hand-crafted system deliberately designed to give a spectacular view of the looming ringed gas giant Aster from Merlin's only surface starrport at the start of game (1 January 3200). The Ross 154 system survived the transition to ED and I believe Aster is still one of the few named gas giants outside of Sol system. Then, for the preview trailers and tech demos for ED back in 2014, they hand-crafted the 17 Draconis system specifically to give it a spectacular view, of an Earth-like orbiting a gas giant with another moon passing perilously close, all much further above the galactic plane than Sol is so that there's a nice view of the Galactic Core as well.
