Proposal Discussion Behold - the infidel!

Perhaps I'm being obtuse, but can you explain what you're gettting at?

What we have at the moment is a rendition of what the rest of the galaxy would look like, if we were in space.

Are you asking for something that doesn't look like what it should look like, or have I misinterpreted your issue?

He is asking about nebulas which ARE currently nonexistent in ED and something I'm quite eager to myself soon. ;)

He could have chosen to put forth his question in a slightly less aggressive tone though, yes.

So many thin skinned tenderfoots around here...cowboy up.

I really dislike that expression. We can get heated in arguments or a discussion and rudeness crops up. In context we all understand that.

But unnecessary rudeness shouldn't be tolerated. We do try to keep a tone of civility /generally/. Some people have a problem and rant, there was a fantastic example of that earlier today in another thread. But Titus wasn't rude.

We shouldn't just accept rudeness and 'cowboy up' IMHO.

I find it easier to ignore the bait and answer the question :) As badly as it was presented, he had a valid question and got the answer he wanted. Looks like the thread is now just us discussing behaviour :p

The game will look infinitely more beautiful once nebula exist. Cowboy.

Given the feedback so far, i have indeed hit the right spot. But since the majority (according to a poll) of this community has reached their 30's and beyond, im sure theres more to expect than mindless extremist bashing. You seem to interpret that one thing i said about my issues with the background, a negative statement, as something thats true for the whole Game, which i think is pretty amazing so far.

Its not a background you will find some areas of space brighter than others but probably not eve like. Although if you turn up the gamma setting in your video options it does get brighter.
I have the opposite problem since beta 2 I cant get the cockpit dark enough even with gamma on lowest settings.
Oops sorry just seen last posts.

OP, I see this answer in 2 parts:

1) No. You can't change it. Yes, there seems to be parts not yet rendered

2) Starting a post of in a aggressive insulting manner to the users is basically not respectful to the fellow players and certain uncalled for. If you were to walk into a room of unknown people like that you would likely be arrested for disturbing the peace and incitement. Anonymity of the net is no excuse for being offensive.

What I am saying is if you don't like a comment don't post tears about it, ignore it and move on. Giving it more air time is the last thing you want to do, like when the news puts so much time into the school shootings that a confused kid thinks it's the way to be noticed. The news should ignore it and talk about the positive things people did and let them be noticed for that.
And we as posters should ignore the comments we don't care for.

Howdy. Reckon it looks right purty already, pardner.
I'm fixin' to say it's all hat and no cattle fer the forseeable, but FD are sure intendin' to take the rag off the bush before they bed down fer the night.
Ain't nuthin' but plains from the Mexican border right out to Achernar anyways amigo, so if you mosey on out there..

This cowboy lark is hard, I can't sustain it. Not that kind of chap, sadly.

:p
