Title basically says it all. Only way to put your helmet on right now is to either break your canopy, turn life support off or having to go to holome and switch the helmet to 'Always on'. That can get a bit tedious for someone like me that loves being able to see my face in my ship but would like to be able to see myself with and without the helmet while in an SRV (you can't go to holome while in the SRV so you have to always go back to your ship to switch).
I guess it's also just more realistic, being able to put your helmet on and take it off again at any moment.
