Being hit sound

I think the sound effects are great, I turn the music off cos I'd rather hear the sound effects.

The hum and whirring of the engines, roar and the base and the other noises that I'm not sure how you would describe them in words.

Playing it loud through all the speakers with the bass up really is an experience, I dont think the cat is so keen like :)

Everything sounds great except being hit in the shields, its a bit like a quiet cheeping bird. Its not very stand out, I couldnt really tell I was being hit until my shields went down.

I think it should be more of a screechy sound. Its ok once your shields are gone just, I dunno. Thats what I think anyway :)

Yes, this has been adressed to some extend in the later alpha builds!

I've turned music way down too :)

If you're playing the 1.1 alpha then you'll be pleased to know the hit sounds have already been tweaked in alpha 2+

Ah, thats good to hear, its the early alpha.

I'll be playing with music off, no matter how good it is. In flight music no, but like some Blue Danube ambiance elevator music or something in a space station would be nice.
