2nd time entering George Lucas in my Asp and as soon as I enter the station I immediately get shot at by something and killed very quickly, No indication of why or even really what is shooting at me. My insurance cost is 900k so I've lost about 1.8 mil so far. I have no bountys or outstanding fines anywhere that I am aware of, my Reputation in the system is neutral. Can anybody tell me why this is happening? I'm afraid to go back a 3rd time.

Check your radar for other ships, you may be getting hit by someone 'for fun'. If not, you may be the victim of the 'explode for no reason' bug.
Do you have point defence on the Asp?
Its really hard to tell whats going on when I enter the station, I can see weapons fire and some red text but it happens so fast that I cant tell whats going on. I have no bounty or anything, If it was another ship wouldnt they be destroyed by the station for violating the no fire zone?

Turn them off in station, they trigger station defenses ON YOU when there's missiles incoming
There's your problem.
Someone fired missiles at you, and your point defence system hit the station.
That gets them angry.

The 'trick' is, I think, that someone can fire a missile from outside of the no fire zone at your ship, the point defence goes off, hits the station, station kills you.
Ah, I think that could have happened to me, too, yesterday. Was at George Lucas, my point defense got triggered and suddenly the station killed me.
I just thought it was a a bug, since yesterday was a kind of strange day. Three times I go a landingpad assigned, that already had a ship on it...

well just did something really stupid, went back a 3rd time very carefully entered George Lucas with my point defence OFF. was destroyed in about 3 seconcds. said I was killed by "cmdr <snip>" I think. Dont have enough insurance to rebuy my asp. back to sidewinder again. Someone please avenge me.

I found someone hovering above my pad, so I just bunted them out the way long enough for me to land
So you went out with no insurance money into a place where you were killed 2 times before...
While I do offer my condolescence for your loss, it is really Evolution at work.
