Tried the beluga, and its nice and all, but crap in a fight, no shields, don't last long enough to support your fighter. Even with modded 6a shield and 5 l5 heavy duty SB, albeit OE for weight, I was only getting 528 Mj shield. Granted didn't get as high a roll when I reinforced it, but still. So took the heavily modded 6a shield off the cutter and put back the 8a shield. Gonna put that one on the beluga and see how much better it looks. So retrofitted my trade cutter to do passengers. 2 size 6 cabins, 1 FC, 1 BC, size 8 shield and cargo rack, size 6 scoop, size 5 fighter, srv hanger, ads and detail scanner. Only get 21 lys laden, but at least I can fight if I want to, and with 3500 Mj shields, I can support my fighter. Might just turn the beluga into a miner. Don't plan on taking any long haul passengers anyhow, no money in it for the time limit. I've seen missions for 45+ mil to go 31k lys, but with only a 2 week time limit, no thanks, when I goto the black, don't wanna be pressured by a clock, I wanna take my time and see the sights and put my name on more planets. Currently have only made 11800 first discoveries so far, want to increase that number.
