Keep low, there is no need to be centred, and don't lower your landing gear while passing through. It has an odd seating position, you need to be lower than you would think. That's all.
Practice and you'll rarely clip it, that's all.
Perhaps the solution would be to have the docking computer also act as a leaving station computer until you are outside the letterbox. If it can do it one way, why not the other. At least until people get used to the position and speed needed to exit safely.
I don't even know wqhat a docking computer does...does it do the entire docking process? Get me through the airlock on autopilot? I can do that if its the case.
The wings and fins on the Beluga are surprisingly huge, and when looked at in comparison to other ships it's the only one that really struggles to get lined up for the mail slot...

I flew in straight as an arrow both times...I had no idea you had to dip down or whatever. It should be ficxeed or announced, as I'ma new player.
