Beluga liner can't land any land this pile of crap, help?

If your referring to landing it stations I've never he'd trouble, just line it up WAY above the pad and go straight down slowly. If you are referencing how difficult it I to put down on a planet to explore... Haa, good much with that endeavor. Record it for me so I can laugh.

Practice makes perfect. The big ships are a little hard to land some times...gotta go nice and slow and not to hard on the vertical thrust. Keep at her.

well Gerald the world famous traveling Gibbon ( his Cooking skills have earned him a Michelin star) has many a yarn spun while on such a fine vessel as he traversed the syrup plains of Brownhill in search of the finest deep fried mars bar herds. His advice is you need to pitch up a little more what looks level isn't. there is a spirt level on it way to help oh and a fillet of Deep fried mars bar

1. buy docking computer
2. carefully watch the position in the slot it takes to get you through
3. sell docking computer

step 3 is optional :)

Exactly how I learned to dock an Anaconda after scraping the bottom of it going through the slot when I first bought it.

I didn't notice any troubles with landing her when I gave her a shot. Did scrap through the mailslot once or twice, though. :D

Landing the Beluga in a starport isn't that hard. Just make sure you level and center before touching down - it can be a bit temperamental when you're pitched up or down. It's getting her all the way through the letterbox that can be tricky, but if you line her up right and go quickly you can beat the rotation.

Landing at a ground base is even easier, as you don't have to deal with the letterbox.

Landing generally on a planetary surface... well, I've never had any problems with doing this... as long as the ship reads suitable terrain.

What he said, I've done this for all the big ships I have purchased simply to work out how to align the ship through the letterbox.

The Beluga goes through feeling like the bottom of the ship is going to scrape the bottom of the letter box, and slightly to the left or right of centre (its a wide ship with the fins)

( I didn't sell the DC ;))

Title was a victim of the iphone thinking it knew better.

but getting through the slot is easy, that's not the issue - blue lines lined up, no matter how much you pitch up/down it don't dock - logging out & back in and it docks first time

its a piece of crap i tell thee.

Too much lateral or vertical thrust can kill a landing, too. It seems like they raised the point above the pad where the ship counts as docked, as well. If you get too close to the pad it just gets messy. I noticed that, even with the Corvette, being slightly off-center or too speedy will baffle a landing quickly. I can only imagine what landing a monster like the Beluga must be like.

Ahhh...the Beluga-Lemon...what hunk-a-junk. This is one whale I'd let those Japanese folks harpoon to death "for science" and then sell it for hotpot. I bought one and A rated / engineered it hoping for the best but was disappointed. From insane heat issues (extra blubber?), flopping all over the landing pad trying to dock, to insufficient shields and FSD it is truly a lemon. A whale tail of a fail tale.
