What was fake with your square?
I’ve just build a nice terrace and filled it with picnic benches. Grid and squared passes work like a charm.
Yes, I managed to do that, thank you. I was more concerned about the "shape" of my space, rather than its "texture".Benches can only be placed on paths.. You can use the natural paths if you want it to look like they are on grass.
So the way to go would be to use the "attach to grid" button, and then link every segment to each other?
Ok, I'll play around this. Thanks for the hint!Yes. And additionally, the option to create sharp edges. I don’t remember how it is exactly called out of memory, but it is right by the grid option.
Ok, I jist tried the base technique and it's exactly what I wanted. Thank you again!
As per the advanced technique, I'll check it in the next few days!
I greaat tutorial, as always fom Geeksim.
I wonder, though, why the tiling system I describe above never gets a mention.
Do people not like it because it creates only rectangular places? *)
In all aother regards, it does exactly what it's supposed to do: plaster large areas with pathes.
At least it should be mentioned in these totorials ...
*) In fact I do not know yet, how exactly they interact with "normal" pathes and whether the "edge trick" does work with them or not.
Mine are not on paths ..Benches can only be placed on paths.. You can use the natural paths if you want it to look like they are on grass.
Right. You can place them on the inner edge or outer edge. I just meant that they can't be placed in an open grassy area.
No I did not do anything special, I just put them there. Now the picnic tables are a different story. They have to be on paths.O yeah you can use paths to place them and delete the path afterwards. The benches lamps and bins stay in place.
Ok that makes senseRight. You can place them on the inner edge or outer edge. I just meant that they can't be placed in an open grassy area.
