Horizons Best attack craft

Hi all, i currently have an anaconda and would like to switch to a smaller attack craft

What would be the best choice and also what would be the best loadout

thanks

The loadout depends whether you PvE or PvP

I personally recommend the Vulture- great fun, packs a punch and can best nearly every ship in the game if piloted correctly

The FDL and FAS are both more expensive but are more or less larger Vultures with more firepower

Hi PVE, what type of lasers do you use

Thanks

On a Vulture you want to keep your power down as much as possible, so Pulse lasers and/or multicannons are fairly good. I like using 2 of the same weapon on my vulture, so I flit between 2 fixed pulses and 2 fixed Multicannons

Basically, whatever you feel most comfortable using

Lets qualify "nearly every ship". Anacondas, Gunships and T9s now carry fighters. Being a good pilot doesn't help so much in that case. Always check if those ships have a fighter before attacking them. The Elite Anacondas are still pretty hard to take down, even when they don't have fighters. Once they've pointed at you, which is easy for them now that they've perfected the reverski, the turrets start up, so there's nowhere to hide if your just using normal lasers or multi-cannons. The Dropships can also give you a pretty good fight.

On a Vulture, you want to mod your powerplant and get rid of any power restraint. I'm running dual efficient PAs on mine, fully A rated with DD 5. Talk about fun :D

I am in a similar situation... I have an Anaconda and an FDL (which is great by the way) I've been thinking about a Vulture again. In the past one could tank a vulture to the point of invincibility and ram ships to death...:D I don't think that's really the case anymore? I don't know. Even with engineering the FDL and Vulture will have relatively short jump ranges. My FDL has a class 4 PA and 4 multi cannons. I used to run my Vulture with Multi cannons... Both the FDL and Vulture are great fun. I think the Vulture is a bit more of a brute (or used to be)

Some qualifications, I fly a combat Python, A combat Conda, FDL, FAS and Vulture. WHy? Each has their own way of flying and enfocing my laws :)

Vulture.. fast and nimble.. Beware of canopy made of cling film..
FAS.. fast and nimble, crap hard points, you have to hold your ship a certain way. Can RAM a conda to death
FDL.. Fast, nimble, packs a punch, requires Assist Off to really get the best from it. If the shields go down... Run...
Python.. I have 3 Pythons they're so good... 1, Combat, 1 Miner, 1 Mission.. Combat rated it can stay with the best of them and more
Anaconda.. My rebuy on this 20m+ so it rarely gets used in anger. But.. In a CZ it can make light work of Mission bounties, especially with an FDL as winger

For fast and furious, either the Vulture or the FDL. For safety the FAS. For heavy duty the Python or Conda.

All this is opinion based :)
