Best Budget Stereo Headphones for Elite

Ay I'm in search of a good pair of balanced stereo headphones w/o a microphone to use while playing Elite Dangerous. I do have a VR headset that I'll also be using with them once my desktop is completed. Under 100 USD ideally as I'm on a budget. Semi-Open, or closed. If they require an amp, please offer some suggestions. I'm hoping to eventually combine them with bass shakers for a more immersive experience.

Oldy but goody, indeed. I had one years ago, the only reason I no longer have one is that the foam on the ear pieces ended up damaged.

Still, I don't remember it having a microphone ? In that market the Plantronics brand is suprisingly good. If one is looking for "gamer" gear, as in stupidly aggressive design, lights flickering and whatnot, it won't fit the bill. For comfort and sound quality, though, some of them are really great. Mine broke, after years of service, and not even because of wear, I dropped it... I was on a really tight budget back then, got a "spirit of gamer" crappy thing that I barely even use now. Uncomfortable, sound, microphone.

The ear piece foam pads are replaceable. I've worn a couple of sets to shreds already, the phones are still going strong with new pads.
Yes, there's no microphone, but isn't that what the OP was asking for (w/o microphone). :)
