I have a simple question: How is this thing supposed to work?

As far as I know there is no artificial gravity in the Elite Universe. Thats why there is this strange ring on the imperial capital ships. Or why the Orbis stations has this tremendous ring construction outside of the station.

But the Krait neither has such a centrifugal ring, nor is it large enough to hold a onboard gravity.

So how is the machine supposed to work with this, more or less normal, espresso cup in zero gravity?

Thrusters set to 1G?
Dunno, my beer bulb fridge in the Corvette works fine in zero G.:D

Land somewhere with gravity, turn on coffee.

Or fly in a big circle.

Or, if you can figure out how to disable the mandatory speed cap, accelerate at 1g.

there must be gravity technology in the game.maby not on a bigscale for the stations, but little ones for ships.
otherwise, next time in space;ask yourself whats wrong with those two coffeepads, that still stick one the table beside the coffeemachine...

You land on the glass-like inner surface of the ring, and let the centrifugal force simulate gravity, then sit and enjoy your coffee while admiring the artificial landscape of the ring with your excellent downwards field of view from that Lakon-esque cockpit.

Those are not cookies. Those are coffee capsule for the machine.

Not even in space you can have good coffee... -_-'

1- Space coffee machine

or

2- Keep boosting upwards

:p

It's got a Delacy logo on it. So when it breaks you need to take it back to the dealer for service. They can't be held responsible for black market coffee makers.

I think Krait MKII owners should get a discount on SLF pilot wages. Maybe pay them 1% less at each expertise level since they're offered the opportunity to learn another trade while they're on the Krait?

"All I ever wanted was to be a figher pilot. Now I'm a fighter pilot and a barrista. I make a mean Mystery Juice, and I once took out an Elite Anaconda on my own."

My only question -- what is Mystery Juice, and can I blame stuff on it?

Perhaps, one day, we will life in peace with the Thargoids and this Mystery juice is somewhat Coffee for them [big grin]

Surely the best detail is the little black Krait model on the console opposite the one pictured here?
The coffee machine is awesome too.
They went to town on the interior on the Krait, I love it.

Sure, it may only be usable when your'e landed at someplace with 1G or greater, but have you ever used the hot beverage dispenser in the pilot's lounge at most stations? Now you don't have to make the run all the way to the other end of the station for a cup of coffee that won't have you squirming in your seat right when you get clearance for departure.

"Landing gear retracted" *gurgle* Oh crap.
