Best fsd jump range

Wish off the big ships has the best jump range ?
For exploring whit all on-board.
2 srv and fighters ect... limpets ect...
Can a anni go over 50 ls ?
Seems best overall ship for the job.

PS would love to go whit my python but ridiculous jump range... 😡

I think its the conda, then the dbx and finally the best ship-the aspx. All have to be engineered though and that can take some time. Theres plenty of builds in the Ships of Elite section of the forum for each particular ship to get you started.

Lightweight Anaconda with 70.xx is the best I've seen, but there may be better. A 'god' roll these days seems to be anything higher than 55%, though I think I remember someone saying they had seen 62%.

This is my Explorer Conda @ 49ly jump range with all the goodies. If i had lightweight ENG on the sensors and Life support it would easily hit 50+LY, you could also lose the heatsinks and go for even smaller shields if you were feeling brave.

I would sacrifice the extra range and the fighters and use an Asp for the improvement in flight model and view.

Interesting, that's nicely engingered but why take 90+ tons of cargo space?
Im not sure about a rated scoops either, i went with a 7d scoop, its very fast and saves weght.

to be honest i don't remember why they are there :) i need some cargo space for the Repair limpets but that's really all, will probably loose two of them

Fuel scoops don't weigh anything

Fighter and limpets? For exploration? Care to explain in more detail what this is for? YOu plan heavy mining operations under armed cover?

If it's range your're after - lightweight Asp will cover all your basic needs. Enough space for rover, scoop and AFMU. Don't be reckless on your trip and this will be enough you will need. Anaconda will end with much higher cost giving you not much extra - except spare security in shape of doubled modules. Not saying Anaconda is bad, just cost wise ineffective if you don;t have lots of credits to spare and really, really need that extra stuff.

just fancied ing around in a fighter in asteroid fields or over planet surfaces, might be fun & with the new planetary landscapes coming with the beyond updates i may get to do some canyon running.

At this jump range it dosen't matter, if you really are out to explore and in no rush to get back then a bigger jump then 50ly only helps you pass things by, this conda resides at colonia (2nd account) and im just about ready to thrown it to the black with no real intention of bringing it back

Fuel scoops weight nothing... so a good piece of advice is to take the most efficient your wallet can afford.

Generally speaking, on big ships, the effect on jump range of saving 1 or 3 tons is not really noticeable. So in the particular case of Mav359's outfitting, I would go for a A rated powerplant one class under the current one, to reduce heat generation, and therefore remove some heat sinks. Also I would reduce the size of the repair controller (one limpet at a time, and 2 or 3 limpets can repair a Beluga from a very low hull percentage to full health).

Fly safe !

the power plant was a weight decision and i got a mass reduction boost on the engineering roll, i did think about heat but the scoop rate is cracking and i can hang back a bit further & take my time again in no rush. The heat sinks are for when i'm drunk or fall a kip at the wheel and do something stupid but now you can synth them i might do some material farming and ditch a couple of them, this was built pre 2.4 and shipped to colonia. Im just finishing the exploration rank on my main account which is why i haven't launched her yet.

I have over 50Ly in my anaconda, but then again its specced for exploration, no weapons, no fighter bay, not anything that weighs more than a pizza, and is D rated for mass. Apart from the fuel scoop which is A rated. AFMU's don't weigh nowt anyway. I do have some shields but these are for poor landings not combat.

Here's your jump-range-optimized anaconda: https://coriolis.edcd.io/outfit/ana...AxQAAEfhiVHNAAAA.EweloBhBmSQUwIYHMA28QgIwV0A=

That's everything an "explorer" really needs - a Jump, a Honk, a Scoop, and a Point-and-Wait
Heat sinks and an AMFU as indulgences, as you should never get that close to a star anyways, but just in case - and if you feel the need to go neutron hopping, the AFMU will fix what gets AFU.

A second AFMU is completely unnecessary, as it only requires a reboot to 1% to make an AFMU work good as new.

Yea, Anaconda is the ship of choice IMHO.
Been planning a trip into the black as well, with Fighters for canyon runs, SRVs, Repair Limpets, etc etc.

I found this published by CMDR Arithon, all credits to them.

A good guide to what ships can be used for exploring.

My AspX set up

0I heat sink
1C lightweight bulkheads (g5 heavy duty armour roll)
3A power plant (G1 low emissions)
5D thruster's (G5 clean drive)
5A Frame shift (53.3% optimised mass) what a roll!
4D life support (-69% Mass)
2D power distributor (39.9% engine focused, so it still boosts)
5D sensors (-79.9% mass)
5C fuel tank

6A fuel scoop
3D shield (G5 reinforced)
Surface scanner
Advanced discovery scanner

Jump range;

53.21 (57.19)

My Asp jumps 50LY and boosts to 457. Don't need no stinkin' SLF. Conda's oil tanker handling in supercruise will make you pull your hair out.
