I have been messing with the ED settings for around two days now, I have tried various different configurations and find that these are the best ones for the GTX1070 with an i5 CPU
Also, i found that by not using any additional Steam tweaks (OpenVR Advanced Settings, Chaperone Manager, Altering the Steam Config files) I could get better performance.
If you suffer frame drops inside stations, try the below settings in the SteamVR Settings>Performance panel, turn both types of reprojection on, you should see some immediate effect if your dropping frames without them ticked.
Overall, these settings offer me nice visuals and good performance in ED, menu text is extremely clear and I can even read the warning and access panel labels inside my Asp
