Hardware & Technical BEST Joystick fixtures ever senn!

I looked into joystick mounts. Then I made some myself with a couple of bits of wood, a drill and four C clamps. Cost me all of $10, and I can adjust them as I please.

If I get that pricing right they charge 85€ for one of them. Since you need 2 you're in for 170€. A more or less comparable DIY construction will cost you a fraction of that and work equally well.

Yes sure... There may be other ways around... I first thought to cut two holes into my desk.
Then I fortunately found these :)

They are not cheap but. they look very stable.

You would have to be out of your mind to pay 85 bucks for a piece of metal. Go to a hardware store and put it together yourself!

EDIT: After seeing all the photos i have changed my mind and conclude you can not make something of this caliber unless you have much shop equipment. Very nice find but still a lot of mula

Just FYI:

I bought a pair of those (for my x55). While it is a considerable amount of money, they do definitively deliver a very sturdy quality product. I thought about DIY, but 1) i don't have so much free time, and 2) i don't have the required equipment to build that so i the price would have been similar in the end (but no way i could build such a quality product).

The only downside is that it is fixed to a specific stick (but you can replace just the plates by yourself, which is cheaper and easier to DIY).

Now, since the mount is so sturdy, you can apply much more force to your sticks. If you have a product of inferior quality (i'm looking at you, Saitek), that is a potential problem: After one week grinding interdictions (i hate PP!) with the mount the soldering work connecting the twist potentiometer inside my x55 stick to the base broke. So i ordered a soldering iron an am now fixing it every few weeks by myself.

In the end: Expensive mount but worth it!
