Best Mining %'s?

Yesterday after a mining quirk that got fixed I was finally able to really get myself into a nice spot for mining Metals and was pleasantly surprised to see the high %'s I was getting from chunks falling off the rocks.

I was above 40% for some of the top tier metals 60+ for minerals and was wondering what other folks have found to be "good/bad/average" etc etc?

There's gold in them thar hills!

Back in beta 3 so not sure if nerfed now but ~60% of precious metals was possible in pristine fields.

Best I've seen was 2-3 days ago, I was mining gold and platinum with fragments of 44-72% of each.

I've had gold and palladium in the 40s and silver up in the 70s. They're still out there, just need a bit of luck

I've seen Platinum and Palladium in the 60%'s, but very rarely.

Personally, seen a Platinum rock that dropped 47-52% chunks. That was nice... But yeah, seems like you have to be in a pristine metallic ring to get that kind of drop..

I'm generally not bothering to pick up sub-10% chunks (except for, well, platinum, because obvious reasons), and not bothering to go for silver unless the chunks are in 50% range. With gold.. sometimes ~15% is okay, sometimes I don't feel like grabbing that either.
(Really wish FD develops more mining mechanics to make it more interesting/varied... Flying at 20m/s picking up chunks all the time is horribly dull)

As above, since they adjusted it . I once saw Gold 86% I mine every night and plat at 47% is there But rare, I don't mine anything less that 10%, last night I was about to leave 18 ton full , But you can keep mining and fill your hoppers to 100%.
then I found Plat 32% + so I VENTED 3 ton gold, the 100% plat that was in the bin jumped automatically into the hold, and I made 2 more ton went home with 11 ton plat. 4 Pallad, 3 ton gold. + approx. 279.000cr at metallic pristine planet.

Any idea on time between a belt replenishing and respawning new material within the roids or is it instant ie leave belt, return and filled but random again?

I'm mining in a pristine metallic planetary ring and getting nowhere near these levels. What's the secret? Better mining lasers?

They have basically created another exploit. If you don't like the % you are getting just log out and in and it will all change, sometimes for the worse, sometimes for the better.

In the pristine metallic ring where I am I have had % up to 80%, but not often. Usually about 15-40% with some occasionally up to 50-60-%.

PS someone did mention that getting better lasers will get bigger yields, is this true? I have never seen better lasers for sale, I think mine are D2 rated.
