I may have found one of the best systems for mining. 10 out of the 13 planets have rings, most of which are pristine metallic rings. The downside, it is about 2k lys away from any civilization.

It doesn't really matter, since you can only mine one ring at a time.
I've found some amazing mining systems including one that dropped huge amounts of rare metals. But the question is whether it's worth the time to go there.
