Meanwhile, today's video i saw was like a minute something.

They deserved it. They are a company that listens to their players and did something about it, and continually put it updates, new contents, and expansions at a vastly faster place than Frontier does.
I do wish Frontier got more publicity but i think they need to work harder and put out larger updates at more intervals than they currently are.
Even the gameplay trailer was really short.
With that being said, if those were actual ingame graphics, it will look stunning. Hopefully they added some depth and maybe even larger-scale, meaningful pvp. Or at least deep, meaningful, and rewarding multi-tiered missions. If not, then it will still be the same old thing of going wider with no depth, too much repeatability, and no feeling of accomplishment.

Imho Hello Games deserved this award, along withe the Golden Joystick award they got for one of their updates.
The volume of content they added over the years, and they're not done yet, is staggering, also their support a.k.a. bugfixing is very good with frequent patches being released.
Simple, Hello Games deserved it, Fdev/ED didn't.
