Best Outfitting near Achenar?

Just got myself an Imperial Clipper, and wow is the FSD in dire need of upgrading. Station I'm at only has C5 FSD, taking her 8Ly jump range up to 12Ly. Big woop. Anyone know where I can get an A5 FSD for this thing? Otherwise it's beginning to look like I just can't take her anywhere! As close to Achenar as possible please - right now just a 50Ly trip is making me take 20 jumps or something.

*sigh* That's what I thought, but it would take me 36 jumps to get there. I'm not even kidding. This is when Beta-1 Tucanae is 43Ly away from me.

Maybe I just have to stick a fuel scoop on this thing and suck it up. How on earth is the Clipper's jump range so damn low?!

Try Nehet, that's where I bought mine. It totes cargo but I can hardly stand it. Definitely bought a 4A scoop, everything it needs is expensive so don't crash lol.

Good idea. Fuel scoop definitely in order. I've never flown one of these before.

*long pause* Hmmm... I've been in hyperspace a long time now. Er... I hope I didn't misjump.

This is probably my own fault for sticking a 128t cargo rack on it.

On a different note - why the heck isn't Parkinson Dock a high tech hub yet? Galnet said it became one on 16th May. Yet I have to haul myself over to somewhere else for this. This is not acceptable.

Wow... really, hyperspace taking a long time. HELLO?! President Halsey? Are you out here? I've been stuck in hyperspace a good 5 minutes now. O_O Actually the speed and compass aren't going crazy like usual... I think my game may have frozen.

32 jumps? Are you using fatest route or economic route in the galaxy map? That seems a lot.

Fastest route. 32 jumps to get to Gende. 37 to get 43 Ly to Beta-1 Tucanae. I'm only hauling 30 tons of cargo.

EDIT: Okay, that was weird. I had to End Task on the game. Came back into it... and now Beta-1 Tucanae is only 7 jumps away by fastest route. I think the server was having major delay on recognising that I had put a C5 FSD in there and wasn't calculating a "true" route for me.

I think it was having an Apple Maps moment.

LOL, I find when you upgrade your FSD you might have to log out and back in again for the route calculator. 7 jumps isn't too bad.
