Best place(s) to turn in large amount of Explorer data?

What reps can you raise by turning in explorer data? Is it possible to earn military rank? Can you earn Sirius faction rep or other reps that give permits?

I've been exploring for a long time now, have a lot of data saved up. Maybe 40-50 million credits worth or so. Starting to get an itch to head back and try out the new AI / Engineers / Huge Multi-cannons, but I will need to dump this data off first.

I think it'd be a good idea to earn Sirius rep to earn access to their engineers. Will it increase if I turn it in at one of their stations? Thanks for reading.

Tell me about it. I'm at the extreme end of the New Outer Spiral Arm at the Asp end of nowhere. Formidine Rift was even duller than average. Need another 70 million to hit Elite, though, so need to head up to the neutron fields and spend a week... exploring...

Ah I am in a neutron star field now, only crashed into one once so far! Kind of regretting taking my Anaconda because it turns slow in SC, but the sprint home will be slightly shorter so that's something at least.

Also I have no shields, no weapons, no countermeasures, and no boost. Kind of regret going unarmed now after hearing about the AI. I'd be crushed if I lost all my exploration data.

Yeah right now becoming allied with Sirius seems like a good idea, turn it in for example at their station in Avik (no large landing pad, but they have other systems which are maybe anyway better coming from an exploration trip). Maybe you dont need to turn in all there, just start and see how much you need. Sometimes the reputation bar (that you can see when you open the mission board) needs a bit to update after you sold data, just sell a few million, maybe log out and back in again and check how it changed.

I too felt the same just got back about a week ago. I wrote a post about this. Player Group Iridium Wing. They are Dedicated to Helping Returning explorers reach the destination of your choice. Very Professional yet Nice group of individuals and Plenty of fire power and certain measures they take to insure your safety. Think of it as Fuel Rats are to stranded Cmdrs ~~~ IW are Armed Escorts for us explorers .. .. Very Legit.
