Best place to exit game?

I seem to be incurring fines that I have no idea where they are coming from.

Could they be loitering fines that I incur because of where I exit the game?

I'm certainly not experienced in the game but I've had this too.
I've picked up fines because I'd picked up cargo floating about (it's classed as 'stolen' and it's a crime - if you do that you need to take it to somewhere like the LP 98-132 system [Freeport], dock, go to Contacts > Black Market and sell it that way].

I'm not sure if you can get fined for speeding inside the space station??

It's most likely due to the stolen cargo and the fact that you're ship is floating near the station to be scanned. I'm not sure how long a ship remains floating around after the player quits out.

That seems like a possible explanation. I'd say the best place to exit is a hangar in a space station, or deep space.

Aint the cargo. I have just tried using the cargo scoop on the "destroy waste container scenario" just to see how it works.

All I am doing is "grinding" so far until I get more comfortable with the new HOTAS/Pedal setup.

Now that being said, I have unintentionally deployed weapons in no fire zones at space docks.

Also, when I am told to prepare for a scan by federation ships am I required to come to a full stop? So far I have only slowed down and when the message disappears I keep on truckin' :D

I can tell you where is a bad place though...

Near a large ship / spacestation.

I was in a warzone and signed out near to one of the capital ships...came back online and materialised *inside* it.

About 10s later my anaconda was so much debris and I had a 400k insurance bill...

You can exit the game anywhere you like without incurring a penalty so far as I know. If I'm done for the night I tend to dock before I log, but I've been known to log out in deep space etc if something comes up.

I certainly wouldn't risk going afk while inside the dock... Fines could be from loitering over the wrong pad briefly when docking?

No, this is a known bug is this, because many have been getting these phantom fines for no reason (as well as bounties on them).

I suddenly got a 5K fine from a system that I wasn't even in!

Until now, I always felt very secure on my chair in front of my desk, whilst exit the game...

I had a ctd during a group play last night and my friends said I was still flying around for a good 30 seconds after I had crashed out. So it maybe that when you exit the game your presence is still there long enough to either get scanned and /or get loitering fines. I always dock and go inside before I log off.

Fly well commanders
